I graduated with a bachelors in Math and Statistics Education from Utah State University. After graduating, I spent five years teaching Geometry and Math 7 at South Jordan Middle school, spending four of those years as the head math-counts coach. I also have one year of experience at Bingham High School, where I taught Geometry and Algebra two.
I have been tutoring math since I was in the 10th grade. I spent several years tutoring classmates. After graduation from high school, I tutored in the math lab in college for two years and worked in the math department at USU researching innovative teaching techniques, specifically in the field of mathematics.
This year I am offering one on one sessions as well as group sessions. Please download the contract on the right to view pricing and times.

It looks like your passion is teaching Math. I always admire teachers and tutors with expertise in this subject. Now that you have a family and two kids, it's amazing to know you still want to continue tutoring. You're an inspiration! So how's your tutorial class now?

Jen,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through Google. Since you are a math tutor, I thought you might be interested in the skip-counting card game Speed!
Speed! is a skip-counting card game that has been very successful helping children learn to multiply. It makes skip-counting loads of fun, and mastery of skip-counting makes multiplication easy.
