Sticking to a Schedule

Here's a few things about me:

  • I LOVE to teach!
  • I LOVE math :)
  • I really enjoy tutoring
  • I aim to please everyone

  • I LOVE my family

In the past I have found myself having a difficult time saying NO to someone when they asked for tutoring.  I would go out of my way to spend an hour here or there helping with math -- and I really enjoyed it!!  BUT, with such inconsistencies, my family life suffered a little.  My family never knew when I'd be home, or gone -- and my patient husband couldn't ever make plans, (or would forget I was tutoring and didn't get home in time).  Because of this, I feel it is important that I have a set tutoring schedule to plan my life around.  I hope you understand!!  You can find it by clicking here:

Now Accepting New Math Students

My  name is Jen Boucher and I am now accepting new math students for the 2012 - 2013 school year.

I graduated with a bachelors in Math and Statistics Education  from Utah State University.  After graduating, I spent five years teaching Geometry and Math 7 at South Jordan Middle school, spending four of those years as the head math-counts coach.  I also have one year of experience at Bingham High School, where I taught Geometry and Algebra two.

I have been tutoring math since I was in the 10th grade.  I spent several years tutoring classmates.  After graduation from high school, I tutored in the math lab in college for two years and worked in the math department at USU researching innovative teaching techniques, specifically in the field of mathematics.

I love math and I love teaching.  I chose math education simply because I loved MATH and knew that is what I wanted to do.  It didn't take me long to learn that although I love my subject -- I love teaching and working with students even more!  I now stay home with my two BEAUTIFUL kids and couldn't be happier.  I miss my math students though -- and am looking forward to spending a few nights a week keeping my feet wet in the math world.

This year I am offering one on one sessions as well as group sessions.  Please download the contract on the right to view pricing and times.
